Part 2 of the formula popsicles is here! This time we're getting a little citrus-y with this orange creamsicle! I remember when I was younger not being able to have orange creamsicles or any other creamsicle pop because of the dairy in it. There was a specific one at Disneyland Paris I believe that I really wanted (I’m not sure if it was orange or another flavor) but all I know is I REALLY wanted it and my dad wouldn’t let me get it.
But, now I can have my own special orange creamsicles! The added formula is just a bonus. I did use fresh oranges to make this recipe, but you can also take the easy way out and just use store bought orange juice. If you can find orange concentrate that would be even better. I did not have any luck finding it at the store and didn’t want to order it online, so I just used some fresh oranges. But with fresh oranges, you can also get some good zest in these popsicles.
In case you didn’t read Part 1 - Neapolitan Formula Popsicles, I am using the Phenylade Essential orange cream flavored by Nutricia for this recipe. While the added formula is great, adding the formula is definitely optional. If you don’t have this formula or this flavor, you can try swapping with a formula you do have or just make the popsicle without the formula. But we all know how hard getting formula in can be, and sometimes it just needs to be made fun, like popsicles, especially in the summer.
I hope you guys can cool off this summer with these popsicles! Part 3 will be coming in the future. It might take a little longer than the orange creamsicles, but I am working on them! Let me know if you like the Neapolitan popsicles better or the orange creamsicles!
